Product Description

The Mango plant (Mangifera indica) is a tropical fruit tree known for its sweet, juicy fruits and lush, green foliage. Celebrated for their delicious taste, mangoes come in various varieties, offering a range of flavors from tangy to sweet. This evergreen tree can grow up to 100 feet tall in optimal conditions, making it a stunning addition to gardens and orchards. Mango trees not only provide a bountiful harvest of nutrient-rich fruits but also add a touch of tropical beauty to any landscape.

Plant and Care
Planting: Choose a sunny location with well-drained soil for planting mango trees. Dig a hole that is twice the width and depth of the root ball. Place the young plant in the hole, ensuring the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface, then backfill with soil and water thoroughly. Space mango trees at least 30-40 feet apart to allow for proper growth.

Watering: Water the mango plant deeply and regularly during the first few years to establish a strong root system. Once established, mango trees are fairly drought-tolerant but benefit from regular watering during dry periods, especially when flowering and fruiting.

Feeding: Fertilize the mango plant with a balanced fertilizer three times a year in spring, summer, and fall. Young trees benefit from a higher nitrogen content, while mature trees require more phosphorus and potassium to support fruit production.

Pruning: Prune the mango tree to remove dead or diseased branches and to maintain a desirable shape. Pruning should be done after harvesting to encourage new growth and improve air circulation within the canopy.

Pest and Disease Control: Monitor the mango plant for common pests such as aphids, mealybugs, and fruit flies. Use appropriate organic or chemical treatments to manage infestations. To prevent fungal diseases, ensure proper spacing, avoid waterlogging, and remove fallen fruits and leaves.

Harvesting: Mangoes are ready to harvest when they change color and have a sweet fragrance. Gently twist or cut the fruit from the tree and allow it to ripen at room temperature for the best flavor.
